Sunday, October 25, 2009

As some may know, mode.radio is on 2 websites: http://moderadio.mypodcast.com and http://moderadio.blogspot.com. Also mode.radio was (and still is) downloadable on iTunes.

mode.radio has been planning for months to have it's own website with a list of archived shows that we have uploaded in the past year and a half.

Then we figured out a way to do it easier and keep our blogspot site.

Starting this week, all archived shows will have a link at the bottom that will say "LISTEN HERE" and if you click on it, you could actually listen the episode, instead of trying to find the show in the players on the right hand side of the blog post. ONLY NEW EPISODES WILL BE ON THE RIGHT SIDE. Hopefully this will help with and confusion and you can actually listen to shows that were previously broadcasted.

Eventually, mode.radio would like to have all of it's podcasts on this blogspot. Hopefully it will soon happen! Thanks for listening!

Mode.Radio needs DJ mixes for Fall and Winter!

Mode.radio needs new DJ mixes for the fall and winter. Any mixes will do, as long as they are good. Time length can be from 45 mins to 1 hour and half. Please send a bio with your mix, tracklisting (if possible), and any pictures that you'd want to be associated with your mix.

Mode.Radio has been in existence since 2008, with the goal of connecting DJs to a larger audience. We have DJ Mixes from all styles from hip-hop to trance and everything in between. Mode.Radio originally started out with recordings of live jungle/d'n'b mixes from the Atlanta radio show "Subterranean" and has since expanded to featuring exclusive DJ mixes (Debut Series) and really good mixes, already on the web (The Stash). If you want to know more about mode.radio, check out mode.radio on these sites:

and under mode.radio in iTunes

You can post your mixes on http://moderadio.bbster.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=40, PM me or e-mail mixes to mode.radio@hotmail.com. The e-mail address may not be able to hold large files, so sending them through a site such as Send Space would be best.

FINAL Subterranean Sessions! Vol. 12--The Demo

We've said it a couple of times, but this REALLY is our last Subterranean Sessions for some time. For our last session (and one year anniversary BTW), I decided to feature one of the many demos received at Subterranean during my tenure. The DJ's name is Zeke Phillips and the recording is from a cassette given to me in 2001. Some dark, classic d'n'b on this one. Click on the link on the left and enjoy. Hopefully the Subterranean Sessions will come back again... :)

Ladymode--From the A to the Bay--mode.radio's monthly mixtape

I created an album of original material for the RPM Challenge (www.rpmchallenge.com) and decided to have it as part of this month's mixtape. The album is called "From the A to the Bay" and it's includes elements of my experiences here in Bay Area CA and in my hometown of Atlanta GA.

The RPM Challenge was a contest where during the month of February contestants were to make 10 original songs, or 35 minutes of music and send it in. These albums are going to be played at listening parties in cities all over the US. Since I teach digital music as one of my classes, I challenged the students to do the assignment as well. 5 albums were created, including mine.
