Mode.Radio's Weekly Mix #77--Smalltown DJ's Camping Mix Vol.2

Image may contain: plant and outdoor

Sigh,

Yes, it's been a LOONG time since I've posted. I have been so involved in my show "Soul of the City" that have let Mode.Radio drop to the wayside.

But I haven't forgotten this little blog that could...whenever I get a chance, I'll definitely keep posting.

Might as well start out by posting a new mix from one of my favorite DJ crews, Smalltown DJ's from Canada.

They just put out their newest mix yesterday (10/13/17) and I'm reposting it here.

Enjoy!

Mode.Radio Weekly Mix #75--DJ Spoony--Rinse FM Podcast, January 6, 2017

I was a fan of British Garage music when it first came to the States in the early 2000's. It didn't take off as well here as it did in the UK but some of the artist I still play frequently, including Craig David and MJ Cole.

I was looking for a mix to put on this blog and I stumbled upon this mix from DJ Spoony. Spoony has been active in DJ since the mid 90's and was a show host on Radio 1's Weekend Breakfast Show from 2003-2006. After his time at Radio 1, he did other radio shows and mainly did club events.

This mix was done for the Rinse FM podcast earlier this month. Enjoy!

Mode.Radio's Weekly Mix #74--DJ Tabone--Nu Urban Rhythm and Soul Vibes

Mode.Radio's back for 2017 with some new mixes from great DJs!

As some of you may know, I've been doing a radio show here in Nashville called Soul of the City. The show features neo-soul, r&b, and hip-hop, so I decided for this 1st mix of 2017, I'd feature some of those similar sounds.

One of my favorite DJs is Atlanta's DJ Tabone. Well known for his neo-soul mixes, Tabone put our 12 short  mixes last December called the "12 Days of Mixmas." This mix is one of my favorites. It features unsigned and independent soul artists and mixes from 2016. Artists including Teedra Moses and mixes featuring Beyonce and more!

It's a short mix, but it's a good way to start 2017. Enjoy!
