Debut Series 56--DJNery--Rockit Night #12

After trolling around Soundcloud, I stumbled upon this mix from Portugal's DJ Nery. Nery became well known in his home country after appearing at the Red Bull Music Academy. Well-known for drum 'n' bass, this is a dub set from him done in 2012. There's no tracklisting, but plenty to enjoy in this set. Check out DJNery's Facebook and his Soundcloud page! Enjoy!

Giorgio Moroder--Live at Deep Space, May 20, 2013

Giorgio Moroder is a legend. For those younger than 40 ;) Moroder was the major producer for such disco artists as Donna Summer and movie soundtracks including "Scarface." When I saw this link from Tommie Sunshine regarding Moroder's first EVER DJ mix, I tried to download it. However, the site hosting it, Red Bull Music Academy Radio, has it on lock. So I decided to post it here to listen to, and hopefully, someone will get an mp3 (and tracklisting) out on it soon! Here's the bio on Giorgio Moroder from the Red Bull Music Academy Radio site:

"One of the true greats of disco and electronic music, Giorgio Moroder brought a very European aesthetic to black American dance grooves. Althoughttp://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=1086580549668754664#editor/target=post;postID=8002954432563759279h Italian by upbringing, Moroder did most of his work in Munich and the influence of Düsseldorf’s Kraftwerk can be heard in his work for Donna Summer, which includes two of the ultimate disco anthems, I Feel Love and Love To Love You Baby. The Stash 48--Danny Howells--Live at B018, Beirut (part 2)

In November of 2012, Mode.Radio featured a live set from Danny Howells. The set was recorded in August 2012 from a gig he had at B018 in Beirut. We featured the first 2 hours of the set and now here is the  second 2 hours. Enjoy!

Radio Ready--DJ Shadow--All Basses Covered (The Infamous South Beach Set, 2012)

You may have read on the interwebs that in December of 2012, at DJ Shadow had his set cut short after a promoter deemed his material inappropriate for the crowd in Miami's Mansion. "They said this shit is too future for y'all," Shadow said at the time. Shadow was performing at part of a tour to promote his album,  Total Breakdown: Hidden Transmissions From the MPC Era, 1992-1996. The club has since apologized, but DJ Shadow released the set in January of this year. Enjoy!

Debut Series 55--Ronin & Nesta--Opening Set for Danny Howells

In searching for new mixes, I stumbled upon this opening mix for Danny Howells from Beirut's Ronin & Nesta. This tag team started with their radio program (now podcast) "Beirut in the Mix." They have opened for John Digweed, Armand Van Helden, Zero 7 and more. Since I was featuring the Danny Howells' set from B018 that they opened for, I thought it would be appropriate to feature this mix. Sorry but there's no tracklisting...Enjoy!

In August of this year, Danny Howells did a set at B018 in Beirut. This sexy house set is actually 5 hours, and we're featuring 2 hours of it on Mode.Radio. there's no tracklisting (so far..) but when I find one, it'll definitely be placed up. Enjoy and look out for the second part next month.
