Mode.Radio is back!

It's been a very busy April for me with work stuff, radio (wxnafm.org) stuff, and family/kid stuff, but I'm back with one of my eternal favorite DJ's.

I present to you DJ Mark Farina.

We have featured Mark sooo many times on Mode.Radio. But in case you forgot, Mark is originally from Chicago but is most connected with San Francisco since he moved there in the 90's and brought its cool vibe to house music. He's most well known for his "Mushroom Jazz" series, which there will (hopefully) be a Mushroom Jazz 8 coming this year. "Mushroom Jazz" is also celebrating its 25 anniversary so Mark is out touring in support.

This mix is a new house mix that came out last month, with a lot of underground tracks. There's no tracklisting, but this is so worth a listen!

Happy December! The Thanksgiving/Kid's Birthday/Last few weeks of teaching school has been busy for me, so I'm super happy to be back to posting mixes again. Look for more mixes leading up to the new year.

One of my all time favorite DJs is Mark Farina. I have seen him plenty of times and adore him. Heads up, he's coming out with Mushroom Jazz Vol. 8 this month, so look out for it on his website, www.djmarkfarina.net.

In celebration, I got an all vinyl mix done by Mark in October of this year. House goodness all up in here! There's no tracklisting but it's great for the holiday season and it's downloadable. Enjoy!

So this month, mode.radio got lucky and found a GREAT Mark Farina mix from WMC 2010. This set was recorded during the Sneak Beats Rob Soul party March 26 and mode.radio found it on the blog Boogie Therapy There's no tracklist but plenty of goodness. Enjoy!

The Stash, along with the Debut Series, will now upload new mixes every 2 weeks. To celebrate, one of our favorite DJs, Mark Farina, is being featured. This mix is from when Mark played Miami's Winter Music Conference back in 2006. This comes from a BBC Radio One broadcast hosted by Pete Tong. It's a great 1 hour set! Originally from Chicago, Mark moved to San Francisco. He has made a name for himself not only as a great house music DJ, but also for his Mushroom Jazz series. This great house set was the opening for Mark Farina's appearance in Atlanta in June 2009.
